Thus graduating to the acute care ward (3rd floor, still west wing, rm 350) after a l-o-n-g 3 week stay in ICU but I don't think his stay here is going to be fo much longer....room big enough to party but his room mate isn't too communicative...
Only further excitement later today is for a lumbar puncture which prompted a rendition of Spinal Tap... oh and Jane's visit with the wooly hand knitted hat....
Happy chappy with phone in hand looking forward to receiving calls, texts and visits 206 850 1306 (8 hours behind UK).
we knew he'd had enough when Jane asked if he was ready to go home and he responded with "nah, i like it here"!!
That's it folks...he's a bit pooped but all good...
AM-az-ing..
ReplyDeleteCant believe Harbor View may be soon be but a fading memory for ya'll. Sort of sorry to hear he's figured out he's not in London. Have been thinking that'd certainly be much more interesting for you both. And besides, the curry is just better there. ;-)
Keep up the good work kiddies.

Still thinking of you! Progress sounds amazing under the circumstances. But of course an all clear from OT doesn't means he HAS to fry his own eggs -- or is he about to enter the JG Tough Love school of rehab? John and Mary xxx
ReplyDeleteIt's incredible how quickly Doug is recovering! Still, it must be daunting to think of going home so soon - but if anyone can cope with the challenge, it must be you!
ReplyDeleteThinking of you lots. Give Doug a hug, and love to you and the boys.
